The Local Area

Jacarilla is a small town with just over 1,600 residents and is set amongst the orange trees of the beautiful Vega Baja countryside in the Alicante province. It takes its name from the medieval songs of knights of armour which fought against the Moorish empire. Jacarilla celebrates its main  fiestas in September to commemorate 'La Virgin del Belen' the patron of the town, when floral offerings and processions fill the town with sound and colour to honour the Virgin.

There are a number of activities and attractions in the local area:

Golf Courses                                                                                                                                                                          There are a number of world-class golf courses in the Jacarilla area. They are all within a thirty minute drive from the apartments and cater for every level of golfing expertise (follow the link for more detail).

Local Towns                                                                                                                                                                          In the local area of Jacarilla there are number of charming towns and villages that you can visit such as Orihuela, Benejazar, Bagastro and Aloradi,  to name justa few. All of the towns offer unique experiences to their visitors ranging from excellent shopping experiences to beautiful building artwork.

The Coast                                                                                                                                                                                A short twenty minute drive to Guardamar del Segura you are welcomed to the wonderful Spanish coastline. There are a number of water activities available at the surrounding marinas which include jet-skis and sailing. South of Guardamar is Torrevieja, La Zenia, Cabo Roig and the beautiful  Mar Menor.

Nature                                                                                                                                                                                        The scenery in the Jacarilla area is one of the most impressive throughout Spain, and is a must see. There are a number of interesting and breath-taking walks to take in the area, enjoying the views of the coast and the surrounding countryside.
